Xinzo Carnival Trip

This semester, we're starting strong! On Saturday, February 14th, we're taking you to participate in one of Galicia's most special traditions:  a huge costume party that will leave a big impression on you. We're talking about Entroido, the most anticipated celebration of the year in the province of Ourense. More specifically, we'll be going to Xinzo de Limia, home to one of the best carnivals in the country (and the world!), with centuries of history.

The bus will depart from:

  - Pontevedra, from Avenida de Uruguay, at 5:00 p.m.

  -Vigo, from the Concheiro Sanatorium at 5:30 p.m.

  -Ourense, from the Os Remedios Pavilion at 6:30 p.m.

We'll arrive at 7:00 p.m. and dance until 3:30 a.m., when we'll all return together on a bus from the Xinzo Station.

You’ll be able to enjoy the incredible atmosphere, the music of the “charangas”, the traditional costumes of the "Pantallas", and the creative costumes worn by others. We encourage you to put some effort into your own costume, as we’ll be holding our own contest. That said, don't get carried away and remember to dress warmly, because it will be quite cold in the streets at night. This is a Galician carnival, after all!

The price of the trip is €14 if you come from Ourense and €20 if you come from Vigo or Pontevedra. This price includes transportation and travel insurance only. Food and other necessities are your responsibility. Supermarkets will be closed when we arrive, so plan accordingly.
