Gaelic football is one of the most popular sports in Ireland, but it's also played in other parts of the world, including Vigo! Whether you’re already familiar with the sport or looking to try something new, come and join ESN Vigo for a training session with Keltoi, the Gaelic football team in the city. If you enjoy it, you might even consider joining the team!
Anyone can participate in this training, although Keltoi is a men’s team. Come and give it a go, and if you enjoy the sport, don’t worry—there’s also a women’s team in Vigo!
We’ll meet on Monday, September 16th at 7:20 p.m. at the U2 shuttle stop in Plaza de España. From there, we’ll catch a bus to the training session, which will be held at 8:00 p.m. at Montecastelo school. The training lasts two hours and ends at 10:00 p.m. If you're at CUVi, you can also get there on your own using the U2 shuttle towards Vigo!
What do you need?
- Your PassVigo or some cash for the bus (the fare without PassVigo is €1.57 per journey, and the maximum change accepted is €10).
- Regular sportswear will be sufficient for the first day.
- It's not necessary on the first day, but you can bring, if you want to start preparing your gear or if you already have it at home: football boots (the pitch is synthetic grass), a mouthguard, and gloves.
- Clothes and toiletries for a shower if you’d like to freshen up after training.
See you there!
