Cies Islands Trip

Ready for our signature trip of the semester? What do you think about a trip to the Cíes Islands? Known for their crystal-clear waters, white sandy beaches and unspoilt landscapes, these islands are a true natural treasure and the perfect setting for a spring getaway.

With ESN Vigo, you’ll have the chance to enjoy a full day surrounded by nature, good weather and great company. Whether it’s your first time visiting the Cíes or you simply want to relive the experience, it’s a plan you won’t want to miss.

The trip will take place on Sunday, May 24th, and the meeting point will be at the Estatua do Nadador at 10:00 a.m.

The return boat will depart from the Cíes Islands at 7:30 p.m. There will also be an earlier return option at 5:30 p.m for those who need to catch a bus or train back home (especially for people from Ourense).

What is the price?

With your ESNcard, the trip (return boat ticket) costs €15.The deadline to register and pay is on Friday, May 15th (inclusive), or until places are sold out, so don’t wait too long!

What should you bring?

• Lunch, snacks and plenty of water. There is a restaurant on the island, but we recommend coming prepared.
• SPF 50+ sun cream, even if it’s cloudy.
• Comfortable clothing and footwear, a towel and your favourite swimsuit. We’ll be doing quite a bit of walking and there’ll be time to enjoy the beach.
• A bag for your rubbish. As this is a protected natural area, there are no bins on the island and you must take your rubbish away with you.
